Our founder, Andrew Maxwell, has over a decade of experience in Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA), where he mobilised and managed large properties of up to 700 students, overseeing an annual turnover of over £30 million and managing an operational budget of over £6 million. As Director of Operations, he played a key role in scaling the company, culminating in its sale in 2019 for £450 million.

Following this success, Andrew transitioned into residential property management, applying his extensive expertise to a broader portfolio. As an Associate of The Property Institute, he remains dedicated to upholding the highest industry standards.

Andrew also worked with The Property Institute to author a course tailored to new entrants to the PBSA sector, providing an overview and understanding of the key operational areas involved in this specialised field of property management.

With his vast experience in large block management, Andrew also offers a consultancy service focused on assisting clients with operational challenges in their own property portfolios including short term projects, reviewing and maximimising operational efficiencies or general operational consultancy.

NIAM Property was established in response to client demand. Several former clients approached Andrew, seeking his continued involvement in the management of their properties. Recognising the need for a high-caliber, client-focused management service, NIAM Property was founded to meet these requirements.
